Program Bicara Ilmu was held at Maktab Koperasi Malaysia (MKM) on 1st December 2016 started at 8 am. The programme lasted for more than 4 hours. Estimated participants were about 150 people. This program is intended for the cooperator to gain more exposure on mobile apps in improving governance and business activities of the cooperative in order to ensure more effective communication in between.
On 21st November 2016, Majlis Perbandaran Kulim Kedah (MPKK) has sent participants to attend the Adobe After Effects Training, at MU DOT MY PLT Training Centre. The training was held for 3 days and conducted by our professional instructor.
The objectives of this Adobe After Effects training are:-
On the last day of training, participants from Majlis Perbandaran Kulim Kedah has shown a positive response to the training. This is because the course is very useful to be used within the scope of their careers. On the other hand, the experience of using the green screen effect is very beneficial.
On 26 November 2016, the Community JOMWEB and Association of Bumiputera ICT Industry and Entrepreneurs Malaysia (NEF) will organize the event Jom Launch 4 to be held at Telekom Malaysia Convention Centre (TMCC). Estimated participants who will attend this event is 300 participants.
JomLaunch is a platform for community members JomWeb launching any product involving IT. It is intended to assist in community projects, open source, private or commercial projects can be brought forward.
MU DOT MY PLT once again sponsored open source event like JomLaunch 4. The event received sponsorship from many well-known organizations in Malaysia such as Telekom Malaysia, Grab Car and many more.
For those who are interested can start register the project. It should be noted that the project must be a self-developed technology and programming.

OWASP Malaysia was hosted OWASP Day KL 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Nov. 15 to Nov. 17, 2016 and collaborate with UniKL-MIIT. The events gather OWASP leaders, security experts, executives, technical thought leaders, developers, scientists and researchers from Malaysia and around the world for in-depth discussions of cutting-edge application security issues.
The summit will draw participation from major Malaysia and global organizations across various verticals including government, information technology, services and consulting, telecommunications, finance, e-commerce, Internet, universities and research institutes. About 200 people attended the event. Owasp Day KL 2016 theme is “Empowering Knowledge Towards Security Readiness”.
A total of 20 participants from Ministry of Health has participated in Mobile Application Development Training at MU DOT MY PLT Training Centre. This training has been held for 3 days on 14 to 16 November 2016. Training was conducted by our professional trainer.
The main objective for Microsoft Access training is to enable the user to develop mobile application easily WITHOUT PROGRAMMING and export it to 3 different platforms. The applications can be exported to Apple App store, Google Play and Windows Store. Several examples of application that can be developed are eForm Application, Notification Application, Geolocation Application, Multimedia Application, Login Application and many more.
On average, participants are excited about the training organized due to the usefulness of this course and it’s beneficial to those who are directly involved in the control of data acquisition.

On October 19, 2016, a privilege escalation vulnerability in the Linux kernel was disclosed. The vulnerability nicknamed Dirty COW because of the issue copy-on-write (COW). Dirty COW has existed for a long time — at least since 2007 and the majority of servers are at risk now!
A high-security problem is identified in Joomla! CMS and will be patched on this Tuesday.
All websites that used Joomla! need to update to the latest version and make sure the latest patch is updated as it becomes available on Tuesday.
Failure to do so will result in hackers hacking Joomla!’s website that is outdated.
To protect the user, no public disclosure is made regarding this issue.
According to Sam Suresh, who is also a member of Joomla! Working group in this problem is quite serious and need to be posted immediately.
A total of 25 participants from Ministry of Health has participated in Microsoft Access 2013 training at MU DOT MY PLT Training Centre. This training has been held for 2 days on 11&12 October 2016. Training was conducted by our professional trainer.
Recently, MU DOT MY PLT hosted Second WordPress Meetup Kuala Lumpur for 2016. The event was held on 3 September 2016 at the Computer Lab MU DOT MY PLT, Subang Jaya.
Those who attended the WordPress Meetup Kuala Lumpur in 2016 are local WordPress developers, designers, and publishers together to share knowledge and experience, and to meet with WordPress users around Malaysia and abroad. WordPress Meetup is open to all who love WordPress.

OPEN DAY SEMINAR PESIMA YEAR 2016
In collaboration with The Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU), Persatuan Penolong Pegawai Teknologi Maklumat Malaysia (PESIMA) has organized seminars and PPTM Open Day 2016.
The seminar was dated on 26 September 2016 and started at 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. It was held at Dewan Sri Lestari Level B1, Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (MRRD) Putrajaya. The seminar discussed the prospect of the science of ideas, views and knowledge in Information and Communication Technology.
The seminar was participated by 300 participants of Information Technology Assistant Officer from the Ministry, Government’s Department and Agency and Secretary of States (SUK).
